How Gifts are Used

I am currently raising $22,000 for my final year at Music Institute of Chicago Academy which will begin September 2016.  If you choose to send a gift, I want you to know how the money will be used. Your gifts are used entirely for music education, room & board, and related travel. I do not use the money for “personal spending.” If you need more details of my expenses please contact me by email at

A Note About Giving Back ~ I firmly believe that generosity is a cycle and, as part of that cycle, I am committed to give back to the community.  My goal is to raise the equivalent of 10% of the gifts and scholarships that I receive. For the past three years, my sister Victoria (also a violinist) and I have organized young musicians for an annual homeless benefit concert.  Last year, the 3rd Annual Homeless Benefit Concert raised over $2,400 that was donated to four nonprofit agencies working to empower those in poverty and experiencing homelessness.

Since 2009, I have volunteered with and donated to a wide range of agencies.  I can say that among the many agencies whose work I admire, Human Solutions, JOIN, Street Roots, and  PACS stand out to me as fantastic catalysts for change in the Portland community.
